Description
Turned Wooden Foot 90mm Diameter × 125mm
The Turned Wooden Foot 90mm Diameter × 125mm is a decorative European Beech hardwood furniture foot for sofas, armchairs, footstools, cabinets and other furniture where the wooden support remains visible beneath the frame.
Its 90mm diameter gives the foot a substantial rounded appearance, while the 125mm height provides more ground clearance than a conventional low bun foot.
The turned profile adds traditional detail without the more pronounced shape of a Queen Anne leg, making it suitable for furniture ranging from classic upholstery to simpler contemporary designs.
An M8 threaded fitting allows the foot to screw into a compatible furniture fixing.
Available in Black, Mahogany, Natural, Oak, Raw and Wenge, it can be selected to complement a wide range of upholstery and furniture finishes.
For alternative turned feet, bun feet and tapered legs, browse Round Wooden Feet.

125mm High Wooden Furniture Foot
At 125mm high, this turned wooden foot provides noticeably more clearance than a conventional low bun foot while remaining considerably shorter than a 150mm or 200mm furniture leg.
The height works particularly well where:
- A visible turned furniture foot is preferred
- More ground clearance is required
- A traditional rounded profile suits the furniture
- A low bun foot would sit too close to the floor
- A tall tapered leg would look too slender
- A substantial wooden support is required
Always compare the replacement height with the original furniture foot before ordering.
90mm × 125mm or 100mm × 102mm Turned Foot?
For a slightly broader and lower alternative, see the Turned Wooden Foot 100mm Diameter × 102mm.
Choose the 90mm × 125mm Turned Wooden Foot where:
- Additional height is required
- A narrower 90mm diameter suits the furniture
- More of the turned profile needs to remain visible
- Greater floor clearance is preferred
Choose the 100mm × 102mm Turned Wooden Foot where:
- A broader 100mm diameter is preferred
- A lower furniture profile is required
- A more substantial rounded base better suits the piece
- Less ground clearance is needed
The difference in proportions can have a noticeable effect on the finished furniture.
Turned Foot or Turned Shaped Bun Foot?
For a broader decorative profile, consider the Turned Shaped Bun Foot 110mm Diameter × 130mm Tall.
Choose the 90mm × 125mm Turned Wooden Foot where:
- A narrower turned profile is preferred
- A 125mm height suits the furniture
- A lighter visual appearance is required
- The support should remain decorative without appearing overly heavy
Choose the 110mm × 130mm Turned Shaped Bun Foot where:
- A broader wooden support is required
- A fuller decorative profile suits the furniture
- A more substantial appearance is preferred
- Slightly more height is needed
For a lower and broader alternative, see the Turned Shaped Bun Foot 120mm Diameter × 90mm Tall.

The Shaped Wooden Bun Foot 125mm Diameter × 80mm provides a much broader and lower furniture support.
Choose the Turned Wooden Foot 90mm × 125mm where:

- Turned detailing is preferred
- Greater floor clearance is needed

M8 Threaded Furniture Foot
The Turned Wooden Foot is supplied with an M8 threaded fitting for attachment to a compatible furniture frame.
Where the furniture already has a suitable M8 threaded insert, the foot can screw directly into place.
Before ordering, check:
- Existing thread size
- Condition of the threaded fixing
- Furniture-frame construction
- Available mounting area
- Required finished furniture height
- Number of feet required
Do not force an M8 threaded foot into an incompatible fixing.
Where a new M8 fixing is required in a suitable timber frame, M8 T Nuts provide a compatible threaded connection.
M8 D Nuts provide another M8 fixing option for suitable furniture constructions.
Replacing Existing Furniture Feet
The Turned Wooden Foot can be used where existing furniture feet are damaged, missing or being changed during refurbishment.
Before fitting replacement feet:
- Support the furniture safely.
- Remove one existing foot where possible.
- Measure its diameter and height.
- Check the existing thread size.
- Inspect the furniture-frame fixing.
- Compare the replacement dimensions.
- Select the required finish.
- Check that the completed furniture sits level.
Changing furniture-foot height can alter seat height, cabinet height and the overall proportions of the finished piece.

Choosing the Correct Finish
The Turned Wooden Foot is available in six finish options.
Black
The Black finish provides a clean dark appearance suitable for contemporary furniture, darker upholstery and contrasting furniture schemes.
Mahogany
The Mahogany finish provides a traditional darker timber appearance that works particularly well with classic sofas, armchairs and richer upholstery colours.
Natural
The Natural finish provides a lighter wooden appearance where the character of the European Beech is intended to remain visible.
Oak
The Oak finish complements lighter timber furniture and interiors using oak-style finishes.
Raw
The Raw option is supplied unfinished, allowing the European Beech timber to be stained, painted or otherwise finished to complement the furniture project.
Wenge
The Wenge finish provides a very dark wood-style appearance suitable for contemporary furniture and stronger contrasts with lighter upholstery.
Raw European Beech for Bespoke Finishing
The Raw option is particularly useful for restoration, bespoke furniture manufacture and projects where the foot needs to match an existing timber colour.
Depending on the required appearance, the timber can be:
- Stained
- Painted
- Sealed
- Lacquered
- Polished
Browse Woodcare, Stains & Lacquers for suitable furniture-finishing products.
Before applying a finish:
- Make sure the timber is clean and dry
- Sand where required
- Remove sanding dust
- Test the chosen finish on a discreet area
- Follow the manufacturer’s application instructions
- Allow the finish to dry thoroughly before fitting
Metal Glide Fitted to the Base
The foot is supplied with a metal glide fitted to the base.
Where furniture will sit on wooden or laminate flooring, the metal glide can be removed and replaced with suitable felt protection.
Self-Adhesive Felt Pads can provide a softer floor-contact surface where correctly fitted.
Check floor protectors periodically and replace them when worn.
Turned Wooden Foot or Tapered Wooden Leg?
For furniture requiring more height and a slimmer profile, consider the Round Tapered Wooden Leg 40mm Diameter × 150mm Tall.
For an even taller option, see the Round Tapered Wooden Leg 45mm Diameter × 200mm Tall.
Choose the Turned Wooden Foot where:
- A broader rounded support is preferred
- A traditional turned profile suits the furniture
- A 125mm height provides sufficient clearance
- A substantial wooden furniture foot is required
Choose a tapered leg where:
- Greater height is required
- A slimmer furniture leg is preferred
- A lighter raised appearance suits the furniture
- A more contemporary profile is wanted
Turned Wooden Foot or Shaped Wooden Leg?
For a taller and more substantial decorative leg, see the Shaped Wooden Foot 65mm Diameter × 200mm.
Choose the 90mm × 125mm Turned Wooden Foot where a shorter rounded support better suits the furniture.
Choose the 65mm × 200mm Shaped Wooden Foot where additional height and a more elongated decorative leg are preferred.
Turned Foot or Plain Wooden Bun Foot?
For lower furniture, the Wooden Bun Foot 87mm Diameter × 54mm provides a compact rounded alternative.
The Wooden Bun Foot 85mm Diameter × 43mm provides an even lower option.
Choose the Turned Wooden Foot where:
- Additional furniture height is required
- Decorative turned detailing is preferred
- More of the wooden support needs to remain visible
Choose a bun foot where:
- Furniture needs to stay closer to the floor
- A simpler rounded support is preferred
- Less ground clearance is required
Protecting the Furniture Base
The Plastic 50mm Serrated Washer can be used with suitable M8 furniture-leg installations.
It can help separate the wooden foot from the underside covering and reduce movement where compatible with the furniture construction.
Always ensure sufficient M8 thread remains securely engaged after fitting any washer or additional component.

- Available mounting area
- Required finished furniture height
- Furniture-frame construction
- Condition of the existing fixing
