Raw Premier Footstool Frame 500mm × 335mm
The Raw Premier Footstool Frame is a ready-made European Beech hardwood frame for creating a larger upholstered footstool with a fully customisable timber finish.
Measuring 500mm × 335mm, the frame is supplied pre-made with loose legs for straightforward assembly and includes a 3″ foam pad ready for the upholstery process.
Because the timber is supplied raw, it can be stained, painted or otherwise finished to suit existing furniture, upholstery fabric or the surrounding interior.

Staining the Raw Beech Frame

- Remove dust and loose fibres
- Sand where required
- Test the chosen finish on an inconspicuous area
- Follow the manufacturer’s application instructions

The Premier and Standard stools provide two different frame sizes.
Premier Footstool Frame
Choose the Raw Premier Stool where:

Raw, Cream or Mahogany Premier Footstool?
The Premier frame is available in different finishes.
Raw Premier Stool
The Raw Premier Stool is supplied unfinished, allowing the visible timber to be stained, painted or finished to suit the project.
Cream Premier Stool
The Cream Premier Stool 500mm × 335mm provides the same Premier frame size with a light ready-finished appearance.
Mahogany Premier Stool
The Mahogany Premier Stool 500mm × 335mm provides the same frame size with a darker traditional finish.
Supplied with 3″ Upholstery Foam
A 3″ foam pad is supplied with the Raw Premier frame, providing the main cushioning layer for the upholstered top.

Adding Polyester Wadding
Polyester wadding can be fitted over the supplied foam before the final upholstery covering is applied.
It can help:

- Produce a smoother finished profile

Upholstering the Raw Premier Footstool
The ready-made frame and supplied foam provide the basis for creating a finished upholstered footstool.
A typical upholstery process may include:
- Prepare and finish the raw timber where required.
- Assemble and check the wooden frame.
- Position the supplied foam.
- Add polyester wadding where required.
- Measure and cut the upholstery covering.
- Position the fabric evenly over the foam and frame.
- Secure the covering to the timber.
- Finish the corners neatly.
- Fit suitable base cloth underneath.
- Check that the completed stool sits level and secure.

Finishing the Underside
Once the main upholstery work is complete, the underside of the stool can be finished with suitable furniture base cloth.
Black Dipryl / Corovin provides a neat covering beneath upholstered furniture and helps give the finished stool a clean professional appearance.
Suitable upholstery staples can be used to secure the fabric, wadding and base cloth to the timber frame.

Where required, Livedale Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive 500ml can be used for suitable foam and wadding applications.
