Fibre Filled Bolster Cushions for Upholstery and Soft Furnishings
Livedale Fibre Filled Bolster Cushions are soft, lightweight cylindrical cushion interiors suitable for sofas, chairs, beds, upholstery projects and decorative soft furnishings.
Manufactured in-house, each bolster uses virgin 15 denier conjugate hi-loft fibre filling enclosed within a Corovin casing to create a soft, well-filled cushion with a comfortable and plump appearance.
Because these bolsters are manufactured by Livedale, we can also produce bespoke sizes where one of the standard options is unsuitable.

Soft, Feather-Free Fibre Filling
The hi-loft fibre filling gives the bolster a soft and plump feel without the use of feather.
This makes fibre bolsters a practical option for customers looking for:

Bespoke Fibre Filled Bolster Cushions
Because our bolster cushions are manufactured in-house, bespoke sizes can also be produced for upholstery, furniture restoration and soft furnishing projects.
This is particularly useful when replacing an existing cushion interior where the original bolster does not match a standard size.

Choosing the Correct Bolster Size
When replacing an existing bolster cushion, measure both:
- The finished diameter
- The finished length
If measuring an existing cushion cover rather than the old filling, bear in mind that soft fibre interiors need sufficient fullness to properly fill the cover.
A bolster that is too small may leave the cover loose or under-filled, while excessive filling can distort the shape and place unnecessary strain on seams and zips.

Fibre Bolsters vs Foam Bolsters
Fibre and foam bolsters give very different results.
A fibre filled bolster is softer, lighter and easier to shape. It is well suited to decorative cushions, beds, sofas and situations where a relaxed, comfortable finish is wanted.
A solid foam bolster provides greater firmness and more defined shape retention.

Caring for Fibre Filled Bolster Cushions
Fibre is a soft filling and will naturally settle during use.
Regularly turn, roll and plump the bolster to help redistribute the filling and maintain an even, full appearance.
This is normal maintenance for soft fibre cushion interiors and does not indicate a fault.
Bolsters may also become compressed during transit. Once unpacked, reshape and plump the cushion thoroughly to allow the fibre to recover.
