Brass Box Castor
The Brass Box Castor is a traditional decorative furniture castor designed for wooden furniture legs where a box-end or toe-style fitting is required.

Brass Box Castor Sizes

For the 29mm version, the existing Livedale specification confirms:
- Wheel diameter: 29mm
- Overall height: approx. 75mm
The current page does not give a separate overall-height measurement for the 32mm option, so I would not invent one.
That is worth keeping in the new copy until the 32mm version has physically been measured.
Replacing an Existing Box Castor
Older furniture often uses fittings that look similar but differ considerably once removed.
Before ordering a replacement box castor, check:
- Wheel diameter
- Overall castor height
- Width and shape of the furniture leg
- Existing fixing arrangement
- Position of the existing castor
- Condition of the timber
