Kenrick 50mm Shepherd Castors M8 Fitting
The Kenrick 50mm Shepherd Castors M8 Fitting are genuine UK-manufactured all-metal furniture castors designed specifically for furniture using an M8 threaded connection.
With a 50mm wheel and load-bearing capacity of up to 300kg per set of four, they provide a strong replacement castor for sofas, chairs, footstools and other upholstered furniture where a screw-in M8 fitting is required.

M8 Threaded Furniture Castor
The main feature of this version is the M8 threaded stem.
Rather than pushing into a socket or being secured using a plate, the castor screws into a compatible M8 threaded fixing already installed in the furniture.
This makes it particularly suitable for:

An M8 thread has a nominal diameter of approximately 8mm and must be used with a compatible M8 fixing. M8 and M10 threads are different and should not be mixed.
Check the Thread Before Ordering
When replacing an existing threaded castor, check more than the wheel diameter.
Confirm:
- Existing thread is M8
- Thread is undamaged
- Existing fixing is secure
- 50mm wheel size is suitable
- Finished furniture height is appropriate
- Furniture frame is sound
Do not force an M8 castor into a fixing simply because the thread appears close to the correct size. A mismatched thread can begin to engage before damaging both components.

M8 or M10 Kenrick Castors?

The difference is not simply wheel size.
